Advanced Energy 500KW Solaron Inverter Appropriate for Outdoor Utility and Commercial Installations
Advanced Energy exhibited a 500 KW central inverter, the Solaron, at this year's Solar Power International. This inverter intended primarily for utility scale or large commercial scale installations is a high-efficiency, transformerless, grid-tied photovoltaic (PV) inverter. With a power level of 250 kW, the Solaron 250 is ideal for applications such as commercial rooftop installations. Building on the success of the previously released 333 and 500 kW Solaron inverters, the new Solaron 250 provides customers with another option to achieve the lowest levelized cost of energy (LCOE) available in the industry. - it is liquid cooled, which increases the product's reliability and ensures a 20 plus year life, a demand within the market.
- the costs associated with the product include the initial cost of the inverter and its installation, preventive maintenance, and an annual maintenance program that AE provides.
- costs are significantly lowered by swapping out components of this inverter instead of replacing the inverter entirely.
In addition to this new product launch, AE has recently launched their SiteGuard program, where the company offers maintenance to the whole PV array.
