Archos 7 Home Tablet available for Pre-order on Amazon
Archos originally announced that its svelte Archos 7 Home Tablet would ship end of April. That date is almost here and Amazon is offering pre-orders on the device at a price point of $199.99. For consumers who have been waiting to use the slick little tablet, yesterday wasn’t soon enough.
Sporting the increasingly popular Android software, the Archos 7 features a 600MHz ARM 9 processor, is a slim 12mm thick, and weighs a measly 350g. As if all this weren’t enough, the Archos 7 also offers WiFi capability, 2GB integrated memory, and a battery good for seven hours of video or 44 hours of audio playback.
While the device certainly won’t break any speed records, it is practical and fun. Navigating to and reading websites couldn’t be easier and, for many consumers, that’s good enough.
