Arclin Announces E-Natural and E-Sorb, the Most Advanced Low and Zero Emitting Binders for Composite Wood Panels

Arclin, a leading provider of bonding, surfacing and related products for today's engineered building, industrial materials and natural resources markets announced the addition of two new product lines of binders for wood panels designed to meet the most stringent emission requirements for composite wood panels.

Arclin's E-Gen(TM) designated family of wood binder systems has been expanded to include E-Natural(TM) ultra low-emitting systems and E-Sorb(TM) zero-emitting systems. E-Natural(TM) binders are designed to meet the lowest emission performance standards in the world. These systems are ideally suited for California's "Ultra Low Emitting Formaldehyde (ULEF)" applications as they emit at or below naturally occurring levels while maintaining performance characteristics.

E-Sorb(TM) zero-emitting binders are the best-in-class ULEFs. Their inherent scavenging ability negates even naturally occurring emissions, making them an exceptional option for sensitive building environments as well as helping panel manufacturers control emissions when large amounts of reclaimed or urban wood are introduced into their raw material stream.

"These systems will allow our customers to target specific green markets, such as qualifying for LEED requirements," says Dennis Gardiner, Business Manager Composite Resins for Arclin. "They will also give architects, designers and specifiers the confidence that they can control the emission level for a given project by requesting the appropriate E-Gen designated system for their job."
