Bosch Solar Panels Certified to UL Standards
Bosch Solar Energy crystalline and thin-film solar modules are now certified according to the UL 1703 standard. In addition to checking for degradation due to climatic influences (cold, heat, moisture, climate changes) and mechanical stresses (hail, wind updraft, wind pressure, snow), the module's fire characteristics were also tested.
Bosch also recently launched a new thin-film mounting system, developed in cooperation with Bosch Rexroth. The innovative new slide-in system enables the rapid and safe installation of the frameless thin-film solar modules. Tracks are used instead of the usual clamps. The photovoltaic modules are simply inserted into the guide pieces and fastened instantly. This cuts the installation time in half to 15 seconds per module. This means that around twice as many modules can be installed in the same amount of time as one could using a conventional four-point clamping system. This combination of micromorphous thin film module and mounting system is also UL 1703 certified.

Its really beneficial to a lot of installers now that they can install twice as many as they did before. This should cut cost for buyers and make it more affordable since it can take less time and hassle to install these solar panels.
