Cradle to Cradle List Growing at Fast Rate; Products Top 300
Virginia-based McDonough Braungart Design Chemistry (MBDC) has announced that their Cradle to Cradle standards certifications list now totals over 300 products. The certification recognizes products that are made, packaged, and used with the environment and renewable energy in mind. Products are grouped in one of the achievement levels, basic, silver, gold, and platinum. The list has been growing by leaps and bounds, with two-thirds of the products on the list having been added in the past two years, and 14 products added to the gold level. And particularly impressive is that some of the newest products added to the Cradle to Cradle list are actually from huge name brand companies including Nestle Waters, Method, Kiehl's and Aveda. We're glad to see that "green" certifications are slowly making their way into the mainstream.
