CSA International: PV Safety Professionals!

Vanessa from buildaroo.com interviewed Richard from CSA International. CSA International certifies PV panels among other non-solar related products. Over a billion products bear their seal around the globe! They are a nationally recognized testing laboratory that certifies products for safety and performance according to both national and international standards. They have various marks that you can display on your product that serve as verification that the product has been tested by their organization and has passed their safety and performance criteria. The tests carried out in their testing labs include tests for impact and scratch resistance, shock and fire, simulation of extreme weather fluctuations, water resistance, reverse current overload, and others! CSA international recently just opened a new solar PV testing lab in Canada.

Manufacturers need the validations that CSA provides in order to appeal to their consumers. Check out the CSA website and keep looking through our site for more videos on sustainable companies and products.
