John Antone of Applied Materials on Exciting Solar Utility Opportunities

John Antone, VP Marketing for Applied Materials, speaks about current solar opportunities in the utilities market. He addresses current solar related concerns expressed by utility companies, which include: the cost of solar installation, intermittent energy generation (energy only produced while sun is out), space requirements (solar farms take up a lot of land), and concerns over the efficiency of the generated energy transmission. John addresses these concerns. For example, he states that although solar technology is intermittent, it meets peak demand.

John Antone is VP of Applied Materials. John was a panel member on "Fueling PV Growth Through Manufacturing" at "Growth Opportunities in the New PV Market: Projects, Finance and Policy" event at this year's InterSolar conference.
