Eco Smart Fire: Ethanol Never Looked So Good
Yaakov interviewed Alex from Eco Smart Fire at the 2009 CA Boom conference in LA. Eco Smart Fire is a company based in Sydney, Australia, and they make environmentally friendly ethanol fireplaces. Ethanol is also called denatured alcohol and can be bought from your local hardware store. You just fill the fireplace with this liquid and light it up! Ethanol is both a renewable resource that comes from biodegradable materials such as potatoes, sugarcane and corn. Also, there are no harmful emissions when it's burned. Their products are all free standing self-contained units that are vent free and have no gas connections. As a result they are very flexible and customizable. For sale in the United States, this product is distributed out of Los Angeles and the company has 100 dealers across the country. Eco Smart Fire is available in 53 countries. For more information on this product visit the EcoSmart Fire website and check out more of our site for other videos about eco friendly companies and products.

Excuse me for being pedantic but, doesn't the sub-heading of Environment & Ecology preclude any thought of burning & therefore contributing to the co2 emissions.Surely you should be recycling paper so that less trees are cut down to make it.How can encouraging people to burn anything be eco-friendly?Just a thought!
