New Energy Efficient EcoSilent Whirlpool Bathtubs from American Standard

American Standard EcoSilent Whirlpool Tubs use 45% less energy and reduce noise by 50%

American Standard's new EcoSilent Whirlpool Tub reduces noise by 50 percent while using 45 percent less energy than the previous generation of whirlpool systems. EcoSilent is available on all acrylic models and includes these key features:

• Quiet operation: The new EcoSilent whirlpool pump and motor have been integrated into a single unit, which all but eliminates the noise and vibration found in conventional whirlpools.

• Reduced energy consumption: The EcoSilent whirlpool pump and inline heater work together to provide powerful, yet relaxing hydrotherapy, maintaining the desired bath-water temperature while cutting energy consumption virtually in half. The pump and motor are water-cooled, which eliminates the need for external ventilation and also transfers the motor’s heat into the whirlpool water, helping to keep it warm. “The EcoSilent inline heater will operate only three minutes during a 20-minute bath,” says Jacobs, “while a conventional whirlpool heater will be on almost the entire time.”

• Stays cleaner longer: All EcoSilent whirlpools feature the exclusive EverClean whirlpool circulation system from American Standard, which helps whirlpools stay cleaner, longer. A safe, patented silver-ion antimicrobial agent molded directly into the EcoSilent piping, so EverClean is always working, inhibiting the growth of mold, mildew, algae and fungus on the pipes.

American Standard offers two other types of whirlpool systems:

EverCleanAir Bath: This popular system, introduced earlier this year, uses thousands of warm air bubbles to pamper the bather. Recent upgrades include perfectly smooth air jets located on the inside perimeter of the tub and a double-intensity lumbar back massage. A variable speed blower, a built-in heater, and optional chromatherapeutic in-bath LED lighting complete the EverClean Air Bath package.
