Envirogreen Building Tech Features Thermablock - An Affordable, Sustainable, Insulated Wall System


Envirogreen Building Technologies (E-B-Tech), a company based in Mexico, is dedicated towards providing affordable sustainable building technologies.  At this year's Greenbuild conference, they featured their Thermablock product. Thermablock is a constructive system of isolated walls based on insulating materials (a styrofoam interior core), concrete, exterior wall applications, auto-formwork, steel reinforcement and fiberglass, at a competitive cost and higher in constructive properties, such as structural, thermal and acoustic, and it is faster to build and lightweight. Alfredo, the owner of E-B-Tech, spoke with the Buildaroo News Team about this highly energy efficient product's characteristics. In addition, he mentioned that E-B-Tech is looking for partners in order to bring this product to the U.S.

Some info about the Thermablock:
- R factor of well over 20
- The block design is 2" x 4", and it is 6" thick
- Affordable
- Cheaper than ICF
- They can build a 2,000 square foot house for 20,000 dollars (in Mexico).
- The product is less expensive because its easier to build.
