Fluitecnik - Solar Panels and components for Wind Turbines!

Tali, from buildaroo.com, interviewed Inigo from Fluitecnik at the 2009 Intersolar Conference in San Francisco.   Fluitecnik, a company based out of Pamplona, Spain, manufactures solar panels and component parts for wind turbines - especially all the hydraulics, cooling systems, and heating systems for wind turbines.  Fluitecnik is located in areas throughout the world, and they sell to different segments in the industry such as distributors and manufacturers.

For the most part Fluitecnik follows the same manufacturing procedures in every country.  Quality and quality checks are a very important standard to Fluitecnik.  They work with monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar cells and with both 60 cell and 70 cell panels.  Though Fluitecnik does not currently manufacture in the United States, they do have a U.S based logistics and commercial office, and they may consider U.S. manufacturing in the future.

Fluitecnik practices corporate sustainability.  They are currently working on a project that will put solar panels on all their company roofs to reduce energy costs.  They also have offices with large patios, allowing for lots of sunlight and hence reduced cooling and heating use.

Do you have any ideas for the fan portion of the wmliidnl? The best ones I've seen are vertical axis mills using squerel cage fans from air conditioners and such. I like this design because it simplifies the hole contraption. There is only one moving part and it works for any wind direction.
