Home Depot LED Bulb Prices Drop Below $20
Home Depot sells EcoSmart LED bulb at under $20; lasts up to 30 years
This week, Home Depot began selling the EcoSmart LED bulb at under $20 on its website, with similar prices to follow in stores in September. Although $20 may seem expensive for a light bulb, one LED bulb can last up to 30 years before it needs to be changed, making this energy efficient lighting extremely cost effective.
Until recently, experts expected an LED bulb to cost at least $30 until 2012. That year is the deadline set by the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, by which all light bulbs sold in the U.S. must be 30% more energy efficient than traditional incandescent bulbs. Even improved incandescent bulbs are expected to fall short of this new standard.
In preparation for this deadline, manufacturers have improved their versions of the LED bulbs. The bulbs now come much closer to matching the warm glow provided by an incandescent bulb. Home Depot is encouraging customers to compare the glow of a traditional light bulb to that of an LED bulb. The hardware giant reports that the EcoSmart LED bulb has been flying off the shelves, as many people are purchasing it to make their homes more energy efficient.

Har netop fået installeret Led-pærer som er købt hos Diodepære.dk
4 af de store Philips 12-60W E27 pærer xn--diodepre-o0a.dk/18-master-ledbulb-12-60w-e27-2700k-a60.html (som jeg købte 6 af) lyser nu i 2 af vores standerlamper, og sikken forandring de nye pærer giver.
Vi får nu det naturlige og varme lys som lampen gav dengang vi havde 2 stk 60w glødepærer i hver af de to.
Indtil idag sad der 4 “forkølede” energisparepærer, som udstrålede et sygt gulligt spøgelsesagtigt lys, og det tog altid et par minutter før de lyste for fuld styrke.
Nu tænder lamperne lige så hurtigt som en glødepære, takket være de nye Philips 12-60W E27 pærer.
De 2 andre 12-60W E27 pærer ( xn--diodepre-o0a.dk/18-master-ledbulb-12-60w-e27-2700k-a60.html ) sidder i hhv. en bordlampe i stuen samt i min arkitektlampe på kontoret, og erstatter 2 stk 60w glødepærer til fuld tilfredsstillelse.

I question any LED Bulb being sold for less than $20.00 at this point. You get what you pay for...spend more and get a bulb that will last and perform at a higher standard.

Look at those fins preventing omni directional light - a sign of a DC Led with its
attendant flaws+ thermal issues; drivers suspect or nonfunctional at 20,000 hrs and
that means it won't last 5 years and color shift within 2-3 years due to bubbling phosphor coatings, so that Cri # is<85 its "f " rating not impressive- is this lamp addressable/ intelligent -No its in essence a close out of 2008 technology
