Honda to Release Ultra-Cheap Honda Fit Hybrid
Going green just got a lot more affordable. Sources are reporting that the soon to be released Honda Fit hybrid will be the cheapest hybrid auto ever. Hybrid vehicles are notably more expensive than their less ecologically sound counterparts, but the Honda Fit hybrid is looking to change that. Retailing at a mere $16,780, the hybrid would cost only $1,800 more than the fully gas powered model.
The Honda Fit hybrid is the latest in a long line of reasonably priced Honda vehicles. It will join the fleet of Honda hybrid vehicles alongside the CRZ and the Insight. Speaking about the release of the Honda Fit hybrid, Honda CEO Tekeo Fukui stated that it will “usher in an new era of affordability" for hybrid owners.
The Honda Fit hybrid will be available in Japan this fall. No release date has been announced for the eventual North American roll-out.
