New KACO Inverters Increase Efficiency & Ease of Installation and Repair

KACO New Energy has released its 02xi series inverter line, a line the company says is a "new breed of inverter."  Perfectly suited for residential and light commercial applications in power sizes of 1500, 2500, 3500, 5000 watts, the KACO 02xi series features enhanced and technologically advanced features that will make installation of your next KACO inverter easy, according to the company.  In addition, KACO's inverter pricing is competitive against all comparable competitors’ products.

Key enhancements in this inverter include: the introduction of a patented digital signal processing technology which increases overall output, CEC efficiency of 95.5% on all sizes, and a connection box with fully NEC compliant AC/DC disconnects.  In addition, the inverter can be fully detached from the DC disconnect if problems arise after it is installed, making service much easier than competitors' products that must be completely removed when failures occur.

KACO residential products can now be installed in grid environments of 240 and 208 Vac. Positive or negative grounding of the inverter makes the units compatible with all solar panels currently available on the market. The inverters are light weight and convection cooled (the 5000W includes an assist fan) to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability. The front panels are a more neutral grey color and will please more end users than ever before. Their aluminum enclosure is NEMA 3R rated and increases the convection cooling effect that makes the KACO inverters work well even in hotter climates.

In addition to the advanced technology in their inverters, KACO has integrated their superior monitoring capability into the inverter with the introduction of the optional KACO watchDOG monitoring card. This affordable card will make monitoring economically possible for even the smallest of systems. The inverters come with a standard RS485 interface to gather data from an external source if you choose. They have also developed the KACO inSIGHT to make wireless monitoring easy and inexpensive for inside a home or business.

KACO has more developments in the pipeline, according to the company.  The company's goal is to make solar more affordable and to make inverter installation easy and reliable.
