Lutron Releases New Lighting Control Systems
At this year's West Coast Green, Lutron, a world leader in lighting control, was featuring their Radio Powr Savr™, an innovative, wireless ceiling mount motion detector that senses when someone enters or leaves a room and automatically turns lights on or off accordingly. Newly developed XCT™ signal-processing technology detects fine motions and reduces false on/offs. Occupancy and vacancy sensor models can be retrofitted in any space without re-wiring, and the choice of compatible dimming and switching controls adds versatility.
This system is compatible with a remote lighting dimmer that operates on radio frequency. What's great about this remote dimmer is that unlike an infrared device, which allows the user to control the lighting in a room only when the remote device is pointing at the wall plate, this new radio frequency dimmer allows you to control the lights in another room. You can even have it with you in your car and turn the lights in your home on before entering! Lutron also manufactures LED drivers that make Lutron's dimmers compatible with LED lights.
Another product featured at this year's West Coast Green was Lutron's automated shades. A lot of people want to have automated shades, but wiring is not convenient. Lutron provides automated shades that
are wireless and energy efficient.
