Milgard Tuscany 3D Max Window is Energy Efficient with U-factor of .30 or Less
Featured at the 2009 PCBC were three windows from Milgard's Tuscany window series. Within this series, one line meets Energy Star requirements since it has low-e coating on the glass and therefore reflects much of the radiant energy from the sun. This window also has an innovative lock. The second window incorporates Milgard's 3D system, which Milgard claims makes the window installation simpler. And according to Milgard, this window is more energy efficient and higher quality than the previously mentioned window. The final window showcased was the 3D max. This window meets "3030," a national standard that means that the window has a U-factor of .30 or less, and a SHGC (Solar Heat Gain Coefficient) of .30 or less. The 3D windows meet the requirements for the $1500 tax rebate. That's money in the bank!
