Whisper Green ultra quiet exhaust fans by Panasonic
I stepped on stage with Phil from Panasonic to talk about their Whisper Green, a ventilation product using direct current motor technology, sounds fancy. It won the cool product award at PCBC, and the product was also featured in two episodes of Extreme Makeover! Whisper Green operates with a 60-70% energy savings compared with other current products with similar functions, and Phil tells us that this product was really introduced in response to the energy standards set by California's title 24 which will go into effect on August 1st. In other words, very very soon! It is also a very quiet product operating at 3/10 of one sone. This product sounds really amazing already, but that's not all. It's coolest feature is its motion detector timer technology which Derek, another representative, gave a good depiction of. The Whisper Green vents a building at a low level of ventilation, between 30 -80 cubic feet per minute (cfm), when there is no occupancy within the building as required by California's Title 24, so how does Whisper Green know that there are individuals within the building? It has a motion detector! Once motion is detected within the building, the Whisper Green will automatically increase its ventilation to 80 cfm for a set amount time which can be adjusted with a mini dial. If Whisper Green could understand this, I would tell him or her that he or she is really smart! Find our more about this product here.
