Phat Energy Solar Carports: Pretty Hot and Tempting!


Yaakov, CEO and Co-founder of buildaroo.com, interviewed Phillippe from Phat Energy.  Phat Energy specializes in manufacturing structures for solar systems specifically for the home.  Instead of installing solar panels on a home's rooftop, Phat Energy offers homeowners solar panels installed on top of a car port, or "Phat port", and on top of other residential settings such as a structure on the home's lawn.  Phat Energy's solar alternatives eliminate the issues associated with rooftop solar installations, and add no extra weight to the house itself.  In addition to their solar carports, Phat Energy also produces solar thermal panels which are accompanied with software that makes monitoring the home's energy consumption and savings easy and efficient.
