Solaire - Really Cool Carports for Really Cool Cars!

Tali from buildaroo.com interviewed Laurence from Solaire. Laurence spoke with us about Solaire's solar carport designs as well as their Generation Tree, all of which have patents pending. Their other two products, which they did not speak with us about, are a solar billboard, and a secret product, hush hush! They wouldn't even give us a sneak preview, so this one is definitely in stealth mode. But I can tell you that they were definitely very excited about it. So keep tuned for exciting stuff!

Solaire's solar carport has high energy yields, and yes, it can be easily adapted to allow for charging stations for vehicles! And what makes these carports unique is their clean design and increased safety - wiring is concealed while the panels are still ventilated! In addition, Solaire's carport canopy wings have cantilevers on all four sides so they can accommodate any type of solar panel on the market. And the wings actually adjust themselves throughout the course of the day to allow the PV panels to reach optimum energy yields!

Solaire's solar carports also allow for water conservation. When rain falls on the carports, the water is gathered and can be used for two functions. It can either be used for irrigation, or it can be directed to a cistern where potable water is derived from reverse osmosis. Alternatively, it can be directed straight into the underlying soil where it will easily flow into aquifers and not be contaminated by the asphalt of the parking lots.

Laurence mentioned that there is minimal site impact associated with the carport's construction since there is only one column that takes the electrical up and down, and hence minimal trenching is required.

For places where there is a high amount of snow, Solaire's dual incline carports gather the snow and direct the melting water into the rainwater capturing system. As an added feature, Solaire's carport designs can accommodate business signage.

Solaire is a turnkey operation and caters its services to the business sector including installers and power purchase providers. Check out the Solaire website and keep looking through our site for more videos about sustainable companies and products.

Waarlijk wetenswaardig! Ben je eventueel van plan meer van zulke stukjes te maken? Laten we het hopen. Ik ben hoe dan ook erg verbluft. Ga absoluut zo door.
