Toto: Got Ecopower?
We love water-saving toilets, and Lenora at Toto was kind enough to show our very own Carmen Toto's water efficient lines. Before going into the toilets, (haha) she told us about Toto's proprietary "ecopower" faucets. Shortly before the water from this faucet reaches your hand, it spins an internal turbine which generates electricity that is stored within a series of capacitors, and the energy is then used to power the sensory function of the faucet. In other words, this faucet functions like a hydroelectric station! The same ecopower technology is also utilized in some of Toto's urinals. Toto's toilets have EPA's WaterSense label, and they flush at 1.28 gallons per flush. One toilet demonstrated to us was Toto's Ultramax, and this toilet's bowl design truly lives up to its' name. Ultramax's toilet bowl does not have an overhang; instead, it possess a dual-nozzle proportion system where water is used more efficiently for a clean rim and bowl wash. Moreover, Toto's china porcelain on the Ultramax utilizes SanaGloss which prevents debris, mold, and bacteria from sticking onto the toilet bowl, thus this translates to less chemicals in the environment and less water-usage for cleaning. We also looked at Toto's Waza Noir Faucet which also bears the watersense label, and their design reflects the aestheticism of Japanese calligraphy. Thank you Lenora for your time; your articulation is superb just like the products you were showcasing. Here is Toto's website, and check out more videos on buildaroo TV at http://buildaroo.com.
