Travis Bradford: The Future of The Solar Industry
Travis Bradford looks into the future of the solar industry. His prediction of the future is based on present circumstances in the renewable energy market, which include Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) that are in place fueling competition. For example, Travis speaks about California, which has a performance-based incentive. Because of the competition in the market, Travis predicts that by 2015, 2/3 of the market will be below grid parity and 99% of the energy demand will be within 5 cents per Kilowatt.
Travis Bradford is the founder of The Prometheus Institute for Sustainable Development. Travis was the keynote speaker at "Redefining the PV Market," during the "Growth Opportunities in the New PV Market: Projects, Finance and Policy" event at this year's InterSolar Conference.
